Disability Insurance is a type of insurance that insures the policy holder's earned income against financial risk that a disability creates. This insurance is sometimes offered through work, but if it is not, we will be happy to help you secure a policy. This insurance replaces a portion of your income during initial weeks of a disabling illness or injury. There are two main types of disability insurance - long-term and short-term. Both of these replace a portion of your base salary up to a cap, such as $12,000, during your disability.
Critical Care Insurance also referred to as Critical Illness Insurance or Critical Illness Coverage provides cash benefits to help cover expenses associated with a qualifying critical illness. Critical illness can cause a huge financial strain on a family during this time and can strike at any time. Critical care insurance can help cover those things that traditional health insurance may not cover like paying everyday living expenses while out of work.
Medicare Supplement Insurance helps you pay some of the heath care costs that regular Medicare will not cover. Items like Copays, Coinsurance and Deductibles may be covered by supplemental insurance. In order to get this policy, you must already have Medicare Part A and Part B. This is not the same thing as a Medicare Advantage Plan which are ways to get Medicare benefits. You pay the private insurance a monthly premium in addition to any Medicare related premiums.
